July's Nail Challenge - Swatch

Hello, fellow polish addicts!

Today you will see something I don't do very often: a swatch! *giggles*
The nail polish I chose is Avon Cosmic Effect - Eclipse and I noticed it's a pretty popular holographic polish among bloggers.

There isn't much to say about this, since I just added two coats of nail polish on my nails and took some pictures, however, I decided to test other of the nail polish's qualities, so read the whole thing to find out more!

July's Nails Challenge - Favorite Pattern

Hello, nail art lovers!

Are you ready for some abstract nail art? Since last week's manicure turned out the way it did, I decided to try some freehand nail art for this theme, to make up for that disaster. The theme helped a lot since I like challenges, and painting a pattern that won't look exactly the same way on each nail but also stay true to the initial idea was an actual challenge.

Here's what I came up with:

July's Nail Challenge - V Shape

Hello, nail art lovers!

Are you ready to see my fail manicure? ( not my regular introduction, eh?)
For this week's theme I tried to recreate one of Simply Nailogical's manicures, the Neon Chevron Scaled Gradient Skittle one, to be more precise, and ended up with 4 big fails out of which I will show you the least horrible one.

I used Younique as an inpiration for my nails!

Hello, nail art lovers... and make-up lovers!

I know you're only used to seeing manicures on my blog, but this is somewhat related to nails, as well. ^_^
As I said in my previous post, I am going to show you what inspired this manicure of mine:

The inspiration for my manicure is more interesting than the manicure itself and now I am going to tell you why.

About two weeks ago I received a parcel from the US containing Younique make-up products that I won in April. The person who is promoting the products, Erica, spoke so highly of them that I was very curious to try everything myself. When they arrived, I realized that what she was saying was very true and I had to share my experience with these amazing products, with you all.

This time, I chose to show you the lovely Younique Splurge in the Dainty shade, which is the exact same color as my Avon Mineral Crush nail polish, in the Pearl shade.

Can you see how alike they are? :D I love this product so much that I had to dedicate a manicure to it. It's creamy, smooth and lasts on my eye lids all day, without becoming bulky and getting stuck in my eyelid fold.
I usually do my make-up in a "cat eye" style so the dark line from my manicure would be represented by Younique's Moodstruck Precision Liquid Eyeliner in the Perfect shade, on my eyes.

Since I never wear my nails in one color, I used another nail polish from the same collection, but in the Rose Quartz shade that matched the Lip Bonbons's cute package. This product is a creamy lip balm that colors your lips in sheer shades of red or pink. Mine's is Cherry Cobbler and it might be my imagination but it even smells a bit like cherries and vanilla.

And here are both nail polishes I used:

If you want to find out more about these awesome make-up products you can ask Erica on her web page - www.ericasmajesticlashes.com, where you can also see all the available products. She has parties running all the time and Younique offers awesome Kudos every month!

Are you interested in make-up products as much as you are into nail art? Let me know and I might do posts like this one more often!

Read you next time, byeee! ^_^

July's Nail Challenge - Negative Space

Hello, nail art lovers!

As you can see from the title, this week's challenge was to do a manicure with some negative space. I dislike this type of nail art because I like nails fully polished, however, I decided to give it a chance and interpret it in my own way. ^_^

I did a twist on the classic french manicure, that also contains some negative space, as it is.  :D
The inspiration for my manicure is more interesting than the manicure itself, so please read on, to find out what it was and keep an eye on my blog for a post explaining everything!

4th of July

Hello, nail art lovers! ^_^

Today is a special day and I want to wish Happy Independence Day to USA, on my nails. The idea of doing my nails to celebrate this event came from an American friend, Steph, who showed me her cute nail art for this occasion.

If you want to learn more about this celebration, click here. :D

July's Nail Challenge - Fruitylicious

Hello, fruit lovers! Oh wait... I meant nail art lovers!

Now that I "accidentally" disclosed the theme, I might as well carry on and give you the details.
Today's theme is all about fruits. I chose to interpret it in my way and give fruits personalities and cute looks. :D
